I bought one of RAV's solar chargers last month. It started out great, but after only a few uses, the charging has dropped from warp speed to a trickle. I would recommend finding another device.

I got the 24w and this 28w on the past deal recently. I took the 28w out on a mostly sunny day at around 2pm while I worked in the yard. Hooked up my phone at 85%, was up to 96% in about a half hour....

That doesn't seem correct. I have a similar Anker model and it charges my phone at 2 amps in direct sunlight. It can fully charge my phone in a couple of hours. Phone battery is like 3200mAh.

No because car batteries are 12v and this outouts 5v. What you can do is use this to charge one of battery banks that come with a jumpstart function.

No, slow charging. It definitely needs DIRECT sunlight. Any clouds or shadows will turn it off which is why I'm guessing people are having bad experiences using it.
