Were you using a HP battery when you noticed this?

Is this what passes for "ryobi days" in 2020? It's like they were just waiting for me to buy a house to pull these shenanigans!

I'm trying to get the best drill I can for $100 or less. Would you all recommend this Dewalt? https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-20-Volt-Max-1-2-in-Brushless-Cordless-Drill-Charger-Included/1000135807...

Doesn't look as good as the deal that was posted just few weeks back, which I got. $209 for 5 tool brushless set....

You're going to want to use a much larger battery in a grinder or the oscillating tool (as those devices are high-current-draw)… at least a 4-Ah, and you better have another one charged up and ready...

I use the batteries the kit came with, 2Ah.

We use ours a ton. Other than using it to cut metal, we also grind imperfections off concrete slabs and switch on a sanding fiber disc to use it on wood. It's great for taking off a lot of wood at...

Solid kit if you’re looking to get into an 18/20v set. I started with the kit that included a vacuum and circular saw and would much rather have the impact driver and angle grinder. Grab a larger...

I used a HP battery and put in a torx head screw and just about split a 2x4. Def gotta feather it.

This is a solid deal except for the batteries. You will need HP batteries to use the full power of the brushless line. Get this combo, sell the included batteries, buy some HP batteries on sale. You...

What do you use your oscillating tool for? I picked up one and not sure what to do with it. Only got it due to the deal with the dewalt impact/drill. heh

Mine arrived and the tools are already neatly hung on my tool wall. I have not experienced non-delivery from Home Depot, so hopefully it's just a temporary delay for you. The package was marked as a...

That was a clearance item, I think the odds are slim that it comes back.

Actually, all flashlights are brushless. While some slickdealers love to rip on this light, the reviews for it are great at 4.7 stars with 95% recommending it.

I have most of these tools from the deal a couple weeks ago. My only complaint so far is the P239 impact driver has so much speed/torque that it's near impossible to not overdrive in a screw too...

Yeah, like those 1.5-Ah batteries are going to last very long in an angle grinder... what, maybe 1.5 minutes?!

Is this the same deal from last week that’s back now?

If you're interested in a Ryobi brushless combo deal and can wait, I'd suggest waiting for this deal to come back: Ryobi 18V ONE+ Cordless 5-Tool Combo Kit for $209.40 1 More battery, all...

Good tools, crap batteries.

Sorry to hear that. You can chalk that up to bad luck. I think the 5-tool (4 brushless tools) deal was one of the best deals I've seen for a while. Don't fret my friend, good things come to those who...

I used my old one a lot (enough to burn it up) and feel the need to keep one on hand JIC. Much like an oscillating tool there are times when it's a god send.

Pffft - What a joke. The flashlight in this kit is not even brushless.
Post #137324897 added 05-21-2020 10:27 AM by djjosephk in Deal Talk
I concur, the set I got had the 2A low end batteries and I've ran the tools w them and the 3A HP batteries and there is a noticeable difference.

Just wondering among other DIYers, how much usage does a grinder get? I have a corded one that is several years old and just never use it. The Dewalt deal for $269 seems like a better deal: I...

Gotcha. I use my oscillating tool all the time, probably for things where I should actually use a grinder. My oscillating is corded, so the Dewalt cordless in that package I linked was attractive...

I'm seriously looking at the brushless multitool (mine's corded) but my wife would kill me right now... Last usage I had with the cutoff was a stub of a basketball goal post that was next to a...

Agreed, if they ever deliver them. My order has been sitting "in transit" for weeks, and it is impossible to reach home depot support for help. No online support available and over an hour wait for...

Grabbed the brushless deal last month with the saw. Great little set for that price, but a bit more warm for this one.

On the phone with HD (1.5 hours so far). The shipment was lost and the $209 bundle is no longer available. The poor girl is trying to recreate the bundle but isn't having much luck. The brushless...
