keep in mind, this is a VA panel. if strictly for gaming purposes, should be fine (not sure what input lag is) but if you want something more general purpose i'd stay away.

We have the new Dell 32" connected my wife's Freesync machine. I also gamed on it connected to my G-SYNC gaming laptop and G-SYNC worked solid without a problem for a good 3 hours. No problems here...

1440p is definitely not the same resolution as 1080p or 4k no matter what size of the screen the pixel count will stay the same. I think you might be talking about pixels per inch?
