I have various lights from Sylvania. The colors aren’t as intense as Philips are. So yellow is kinda light yellow, same with red, it’s a darker pink versus pull on red like other companies bulbs...

Use some crumpled up plastic screen material like the kind for window screens. It’s super cheap and it will keep the bugs out and still let the heat dissipate.

Paired with a SmartThings hub first to get the update. Apparently Zigbee2MQTT can also push updates, but I wasn't aware of this. But I'm just using a cheap CC2531 USB stick with Zigbee2MQTT.

Yes you can configure it that way. Keep light switch on and don't use it for turning off. You can close the light or change the color from ST app( I'm using it with old app, it should work with new...

The front plastic cover (that let's the light through) is not water tight. I popped it off and used silicone caulk around the edge and popped it back on. That should keep the rain out

Thanks. I finally called urlhasbeenblocked for the verdict. Their hub doesn't work with this bulb despite their system using Zigbee - they use the Zigbee protocol, but it's closed to talking to any bulbs...
