Miter saw is the only transformer I'm aware of that you buy to plug it up... the fan has two standard male ends that goes into a simple drop cord.

Intermittent usage will last a lot longer, but we get about 6 months out of these before the blades fly apart from fatigue. So far, warranty has replaced them, but we have a service center close by....

You don't need an AC adapter. It has a male plug built into it. You just plug a standard extension cable into it, then plug that into the wall.

It is absolutely bad to over discharge the cells. However, it's my understanding that the tools have low voltage cutoff capability build in so you can't damage the cells. If that helps.

I own the Milwaukee m18 fan and I've used this fan multiple times. The Milwaukee blows more air, is more compact and is cheaper. I'd only buy this if you're already invested in Dewalt

I never thought I'd use this after buying previously on impulse. Great for welding outside. No cords and keeps fresh air coming at my face. Big battery runs it a long time too.
