Home Depot around me only has options to ship to store/home 2 weeks from now. Nothing for pickup before Memorial Day. That's lame.

Not sure how 42 cents/pound is getting this many thumbs up. Usually around 28 cents/pound.

Went with Royal Oak $8.88 deal at Walmart and grabbed 4 bags. I've used it in the past and it works ok, burns faster than Kingsford blue. Hopefully 4th of July has better charcoal deals.

Use vegetable oil on the paper. I've used it with all the brands and never had an issue. Learned that trick somewhere.

How much charcoal are you using?? I can get several chimney fulls out of a 18-20 bag....this guy would barely use one bag per year. aside from that....yeah, buy 4 coz it don't go bad.

Same here, I continued to question if somehow I had gotten the charcoal wet. It also seems to burn so fast. Normally I shut my grill down and can throw some of the old briquettes back in the chimney....

Yeah, maybe the July 4 price will match what they used to do. $9.99 or something for 2 (however if I remember correctly, they were 18lb bags and everyone was moaning about where the 20lb bags went)
