I've heard that, too, but I've also heard that one of the advantages is less ash with these professional ones.

I think Norcal has the same price. Used these last night. They are very good but imho the burn time is less compared to regular Kingsfords briquettes.

These are better for hot and fast cooks, but for low and slow, they burn faster than regular blue bag.
