Screen has same brightness but better color gamut coverage. Also, better port as the USB 3 ports are gen 2 in Slim 7 with 10 Gbps speed vs gen 1 5 Gbps in IdeaPad 5.

First of all, yes it has 8gb and it is dual channel and soldered. Which means no upgrades. If you need more than that then look for another laptop or wait for a 16gb model.. but check if you will...
