Correct, but that is a sunk cost. I was already willing to spend $299 for an Apple repair and ended up with a new unit for $200. So the timing in my situation is great.

It's better to buy an independent extended warranty than to rely on Costco warranty. You would have to renew your membership every year so you can retain the Credit card and its benefits.

Are you talking about Apple Watch? They are all made by Apple and there should not be any difference if you buy at Costco or any other place.

No offense but Costco sells a lot of junk disguised as quality. I've bought 2 watches and both broke in under a year. Keep your receipts and don't hesitate to return if anything starts acting funky.

There is no real difference or superior about Nike other than watch band with holes in it for people who are real athlete and work out very hard. Same bands you can buy after market for real cheap....

Does the extended warranty apply to electronics from any store not just Costco? I just bought the Nike watch with my Costco card and cancelled the Costco watch.
