There's no s10v. There are tradeoffs for every alloy. Buck's 420HC is easier to sharpen and less likely to chip than S30V or D2 at the cost of lower abrasive wear resistance.

Good knife but I would never want to carry it. It's too heavy and and inconvenient to put on the belt. I have too many folding pocket knives with clips that are way nicer easier to open and lighter.

Still have mine from 35+ years ago. Eventually replaced the sheath but that was it. It's heavy, sure, and it's a lockback so no easy-open, but solid as a rock.

Actually, these days a 112 is much more expensive than a 110 due to scale of production. While you can get a 110 for $35 today, you will probably pay $60 for a 112
