It *can* cut wood, but it's less than ideal. It comes with an adaptor for the Dremel SawMax, which has wood cutting blades. But, IMO, there's probably a reason Milwaukee doesn't make their own wood...

You make a lot of assumptions, lol. Spend a few extra bucks and get an 18volt cut off tool. 12 volts will leave you desiring more power especially for this application.
