Size matters! Great for up to 1 1/2” and smaller. Although on older pvc, it tends to shatter the pipe vs cut it. The ryobi would tackle anything pvc with ease.

The old tools are better quality. This wouldn't stand up to your old Ryobi, but your old one is probably not cordless, or if it is then the battery is probably Nickel Cadmium or something like that...

Thanks OP. In for one. I'm still using an RJC180 from back in the day when the tools were blue and came in a three tool set with a flashlight in a hard plastic case. They all still work fine.

You need the Diablo pruning blade for trees, it has much, much larger teeth. I’ve easily cut 3-4” limbs with this saw and that blade.
