Why would you say that? Elegia is in the same level with elear which is supposed to be a level up than hd700. Also sundara is open planar. So not sure how do you make a comparison.

I feel the HD6XX is a tremendous value that puts headphones in the $300-700 market to shame. With one caveat; they are high impedence and require a good amp to drive them. And they scale so well...

That was the only reason I left the Elegias. Not quite enough bass. Fostex X00 is the only place I could find what I was looking for. With a Loki (or other EQ), you could make them spectacular.
