USB-C can carry a HDMI signal. You can either do USB-C to USB-C if it's a new monitor that has that input or get a USB-C to VGA or HDMI adapter.

there are USB c to hmdi adapters for 20 bucks. so if you have a usb c port, then yes. just did it myself, works perfect. only other way is a dock which is dumb expensive.
