The dark room and bright room advantage should be flipped. The LG has an IPS panel on the 86" whereas the Sony has the VA panel on the 85".

The 850G is higher than the 800H dude of course is going to have a 120hz panel. The 800G is the same as the 800H.

Either they had the settings all jacked up or you were confused. The 85" 850g is very hard to tell from the 85" 900f. The are nearly identical except the 900f adds local dimming which you're not...

I saw the 85” 850 and 900 in person awhile back. Couldn’t tell the difference. I could of swore they were the same panel. Can’t fancy why anyone would pay an extra $1000 for the 900 series.
