Not really recommended. You'll either break the socket or round out the points of the socket and/or your nut/bolt. Also, can be dangerous if the socket shatters.

I suggest you stop working on your cars. The price you quoted is for a flush not a filter change. Most shade tree mechanic's don't have the equipment to do a flush.
