Sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for clearing that up. It's exactly what I thought you were implying, which is false. Current storage devices, be it rust or silicon, can easily achieve 120MB/s...

It's just a chart to compare timings easily so you know what latency vs speed comes out to.
Here's a Google sheet if you want more detail:...

Yes. Latency and frequency both affect speeds. Look up Corsair vengeance series for better timings. It's significant.

That chart is weird. Half the green spots aren't even offered in DDR4 CL on market. 3600 would be nice, but who makes a 3600 kit in CL 7? 14 is the lowest easily available as far as I'm aware. It's...

This ram doesn't look much of an improvement over my 16 cas 3000mhz ram, that I've overclocked to cas 14.

They run warm but the VRMs around the CPU run hotter. I also don't overclock them and use the default 3600 @ CL18 profile and have top intake fans so it all works out.
Im sure the heat spreaders...

that's really my prob is I am doing my first build so I took people's claims too seriously, such as where they say this or that is a "horrible" product because it's 2% slower than some other one.

So, with all the speed talk issues here, is this still a decent set of sticks for a new Ryzen setup? Just for casual gaming and normal work?
