Alps Zephyr 3/Zenith 3. I bought my Zenith 3 back in 2016 for about $120 from Sierra Trading Post. It was my main tent in my quest to reach all of Colorado's 14000ft summits. I brought it along on...

I own a couple of the 3-man Meramac tents - great for two adults and they seem to hold up pretty well. Definitely recommend the ground tarp that goes with them.

If you want to store it in your under seat space then packed size becomes more important. I usually tie down mine behind the rear seat on the luggage rack

No offense. Aldi this week has 6 person tent for $50. Just FYI.

It really depends on your “in-tent-ions”... I have two Alps Mountaineering tents (4 person and 2 person) with the aluminum poles and I love them. Had them about 10 years. What someone else said...

I love Aldi, but whatever they're selling is no comparison to A.M.. These are great tents for the price.

ALPS makes 4 pound, one-person tent that usually sells for ~$95. Their 2-person “Lynx” tent is 5 pounds and costs $100. That’s a 3 pound difference. With all due respect, if you don’t think that...

Unless you're a little person...take the stated capacity and divide by 2 for number of adults tent will really hold.

And if a return is needed, Amazon makes it easy. A small upcharge is worth that alone and much faster shipping IMO.

You'll probably have 3 minutes to dial 911 before the first four wild turkeys get in.

Maybe those are slightly better but I have the merimac 3 person and it's an excellent value for lower level tent. It goes up very intuitively, decent durable quality material. The 3 person is...

Right? Why would anyone expect a tent to "protect" them from anything but the elements and insects?

you are not comparing apples to apples the aldi tent: not a name brand smaller 10x8.5 dome style - less headroom warranty - who knows? floor - not a tub design alps tent

Alps makes great tents, but these aren't the great ones. The great ones are only about $40 more and use aluminum poles and come with full rain flys. Don't buy these walmart versions unless you know...

Do yourself a favor.... never ever consider a tent that doesn’t have the rain fly go the whole way to the bottom. Not only will it get very wet but it’s a sign that the tent is cheap to begin with.
