I just go by how well my stomach tolerates it. I usually use an espresso machine or French press. But if I buy some coffee that causes acid reflux problems then I use the Aeropress and that reduces...

I can't tell, how can you tell? More visible oil swirls on surface? Really I just notice the flavor difference on the very bright, citrus, fruity beans. I just got a TJ El Salvador small lot that is...

Can you tell if The Disk filters out the acid any? I have had to cut back on coffee because of the acid. The Aeropress does a great job of filtering the acid with paper. I would love to ditch the...

I often use my Aeropress with a stainless filter called "the disk" to get the oils too. I agree, with the paper filters you lose some flavors for a smoother cup. I also like my stainless pour over...

Aeropress is great for getting the acid out of the coffee but you are filtering out the oil the gives much of the flavor. Use the same beans and compare coffee made with the aeropress vs a French...

My local coffee house that roasts beans said not to freeze when I asked. It is bad for the oils that give the flavor.

They are all great blends. Different varieties though. Depending on your taste. I am not measuring grams honestly. I like strong coffee. Jacobs, Meinl are good blends. Illy not to me. Looks like...

Out of your stash, Crema e Aroma looks the most interesting. Seems like a good mix of bold dark chocolate, plus some fruity & earthy notes and light in acidity, correct? is it a medium-to-dark roast?...

I have tried several coffee brands that @SDqualityfan has listed on this thread. Some are really good. But I have to agree that $35 isn't really worth to pay for bag of coffee beans. I also like...

Awesome! I would love to visit one day or go to Vienna. Yeah, storage is a problem. I personally like Airscape Kilo as it pushes out oxygen. This one is plenty for 1kg bag, but it's anotehr $31 -...

ohhh we have a few Julius Meinl sandwich shops here in Chicago. Idk about $35 for 2 pounds though. I will give it a try as a splurge once I run out of the beans I have. My current bean hopper barely...

Not sure if being super automated changes anything regarding beans selection. I have not tried all bean types, but Lavazza has been just ok to not great. I usually stick with Julius Meinl. Your...

Check the expiration. It should be fine before then. And even after it too a little if they are good beans.

I would not at all. Just in a cool, dry place. There is no known gain. Best is a vacuum sealed container after opening, but before opening, it's meant to be stored as is.

Yeah, I would try finer grind. Also, how much are you grinding? Quality beans should only require 14g, but many require 18g unfortunately. You should not have to tamp hard at all - 30lb...

Is there an expiration? Their packaging should be quite good to last a while. Fresh roast is absolutely a must if the packaging is not great. Should be packed and sealed as soon as it's roasted.

Did you store it properly or even the very first shot was not great? Which bean did you try - it's worth looking into what beans they used or what flavor profile they were going for.
