If you need more power the Lowes power detect model for $279 with TWO 8.0 batteries and fast charger is probably worth the upgrade. Buy a $20 off coupon, sell one battery and its basically the same...

It is, as I gave that battery eating, brushed 6 1/2" away when I bought this brushless one as a bare tool for $100 a year or two ago. A buddy has a newer Flexvolt and it is even better. But, since...

Yeah it seems like a weird Google issue. When I type out DCS570B it Google's correctly. The model I think you see is the 4-1/2" atomic DCS571.

Good deal. I bought just the saw itself for around $125 which is a decent deal. For another $50 I could have gotten the 5Ah batter and charger. Wish I could return mine

It's probably getting downvoted because the blade is on the right side and made for right hand sawing. Been waiting on a deal to pop up on this, in for one

Interesting post. I just used a similar product today to chop up a sofa. Everyone was trying to charge me $150 or more just to haul off one sofa. I borrowed a saw from Walmart to cut the sofa in...

Correct, you could use this if you are right or left handed, it's just the side the blades on. If a righty uses this be prepared to be covered in sawdust on certain cuts!

Yes, I just used the right bladed 60v circular saw a few days ago. I was skeptical too because I’m used to the left placement of the saw. But the right side just makes sense once you start using it....

This saw will absolutely be good for beginner woodworking, it's already a step up from the 6" brushed saws. The "better" models offer longer runtime and more torque, things that will primarily...

It’s brushless, 7-1/4” and it’s an XR saw with an XR battery. Definitely worth the upcharge.

Blade right side is safer for right hand sawing, if blade was left side you would have cross over the blade to use your top grip. Of course blade left is easier sightline than blade right

Good deal for those who need it now but keep in mind this is the older 7-1/4 circular saw. There is a newer XR DCS574 that has 54% more power than this model.

Valid points. I just prefer to see the blade in relation to my pencil line. I guess I'm living dangerously.

Actually, this model, the 7-1/4" DCS570B is brushless and has a brake. At about 9 amps, runs longer than the 6 1/2" model did, with a lot more power and only a pound heavier. Now, the Flexvolt...
