It's comparable to those desktop CPUs and also to the Ryzen 1st and 2nd gen desktop CPUs. But it also beats the equivalent Intel mobile 8-10k cpus in performance and power usage.

You can if it plays most titles at 30fps+ at lowest settings. I would consider it entry level gaming laptop capable. Less than that then IMO not good for gaming. Opinions of course vary.
