Thanks but only see a reddit post that is no longer available. Would like more credible evidence in order to draw a conclusion. But thank you anyway.

That was $5 more. That was more expensive. Too expensive is a subjective opinion. Not very useful.

That's what I thought. It doesnt make any sense for the WD drive to be better when the benchmarks for consumer workloads show otherwise and rival some of the performance of a Samsung drive.

I’m not sure I understand...the sata version is less reliable than the nvme? I thought nvme was basically 2 sata connections? At least on my Gigabyte board to use nvme, you use 2 of the sata headers

I don't think I get that price or coupon pop-up either. Please add YMMV. Except for the $10 Prime Amazon Store Card offer, there is no other coupon as stated by OP.

If you mean m.2 sata drives, I don’t think so. If you mean 2.5” sata SSD, the Adata SU800 Ultimate is a very good one. There is a very nice deal on eBay for these right now at $104 FS for 1TB. ...

It should also be noted that the 8200 is very power efficient in comparison to other NVME drives. Increased laptop run-times are important to some people.
