A rep posted a week or so ago in the Hisense subreddit that Android 9 is in beta for H8F/H9F. It was in a thread about HDMI ARC/CEC issues. I got the 65" H8F for $500 from BJ's and think it's a...

Given past experiences with walmart refurb tvs, I'd highly recommend steering clear of them

Does Hisense commit to updating Android as frequently and with security patches etc?

100% agree with this. Right before the lockdown I ordered a "refurb" that was delivered by Fedex with half the screen smashed. There was 0 box damage so I'm not really going to lay the blame on Fedex...

Not at all. This TV runs android 8 and the last security patch is from summer of last year. I think there's only been one update at all since then, mainly to add Amazon prime video, and they used an...

Anyone actually seen this and the Samsung RU740D? I got the 55" RU740D refurb from Walmart few weeks back for $335 delivered. Nice TV, decent speakers for the money. It's not great like my KS8000...

Thank you OP, went ahead and picked up a 55H8F as a backup just in case Amazon does something stupid with my 55H9G preorder.

It may be too late at this point, but I snagged a Satisfactory 55" Vizio M series for $330 from Best Buy a couple weeks ago and have been very impressed with the bang for the buck. With that said,...

Agreed, the 50 tcl 4 series return deal right as lockdown started was a massive waste of time. Walmart return was easy to just ship it back tho. Still a pain and waste of time.

Ordered mine Saturday and received yesterday via UPS. Set up and dialed in less than 30 minutes, couldn't be happier with the purchase so far. The screen looks great, especially after applying...

Geektech and Benji1077, major bummer that your TVs didn't survive shipping. My 55" made it to me fine, I almost feel guilty. I've been putting putting it through it's paces with a critical eye...

Walmart has a 58 model for 300 it’s ok if you don’t want to be overly impressed. I’m going to go for the tcl 6 series for 150 more. The contrast on this tv is poor to say the least

Good TV, but I highly recommend getting it from Costco instead. Worth the $70 for up to 3 more years of warranty, depending on your membership, and easy returns if you get a bad panel.

I keep hearing the same thing about the Costco ext warranty, but I believe the Hisense warranty is only 1 year on TV's in US. Reference: https://www.hisense-usa.com/television-1-year-warranty ...
