If you want espresso, go for smart ass or cliffhanger. I loved cliffhanger, but they ran out of stock around Christmas for a month or two, so I switched to smart ass and quickly fell in love with it....

You could try three sisters instead of the above dark variety. Three sisters are not as oily. I tried all of them and settled on three sisters for my base coffee brewing.
