I just went from a a6500 to a7r iii and the cost difference after selling my a6500 + lenses was less than a grand. The upgrade is well worth it in my opinon. The choices in lenses are vastly better...

There was 4 years between the A7ii and A7iii. The A7iii is only 2 years old. The A7Sii is 5 years old. I seriously doubt we'll see an A7iv this year and I'm not even sure what features you'd expect...
