I agree. Children love touch input because it's so intuitive. Actually for children who don't know how to type yet, a tablet will be far better, easier and possibly cheaper than a Chromebook.

Don't waste your money. Kids at this age do not use keyboards. I got my 7 year old daughter (1st grade) the Amazon Fire HD 10 and used XDA Amazon Tool Box to make it into a stock android tablet....
