I just got the order confirmation email, hopefully it goes through!

Trying to buy my first Nespresso. Can anyone tell me the significant differences between the Virtuo and the Essenza lines? From what I've read (unless I read wrong), a lot more people prefer the...

If you are in the market for Nespresso, try out facebook marketplace and Craigslist if you are okay with a used one. I was surprised to see my area flooded with these machines in used market and...

What type of beans/grind are you using to make full-sized coffee with the silicone covers? (Assuming you’re not just making espresso.) If that method works well for espresso it’s way cheaper than...

Don’t forget to use Amex Offer: $15 off $75 at Bloomingdales. YMMV

The Next also has a much smaller water reservoir.

It's the opposite for me because I use VL at work and brew 1 pod for my 14oz mug. At home, I need to use 2 OL pods for the same mug, which ends up being more expensive in the long run.

Girlfriend has one. It makes a decent cup of coffee depending on the capsule you use. I find the coffee not hot enough. Also super bummed peets capsules don't work in this line.

Is simple terms, the differences are in cost and sizing. Original line will cost you less but you get tiny bit of coffee from 1 pod. Vertuo line will cost you more but you get 8 ounce of coffee like...

Honestly, I'm shocked anyone on Slickdeals is buying the Vertuo line given there are rarely any deals on the pods. With the original line, you can buy pods anywhere and from anyone, which means...

I personally have this exact machine now and it is my favorite Nespresso machine I have used, but I'll admit I don't even drink hot coffee. I always add milk and then ice, so I can't speak for those...

Yes I know you can. But my comment was for violian and their love for the Pixie. The original machines made just expresso, but the Vertuo line can make expressos and coffee.

You can actually make more than espresso from the OriginalLine - atleast on the Pixie and Essenza, there is a Lungo button. Lungo is a weaker form of espresso (usually drank in South America if I...

In for one! I wasn't sure if I should given all the flak this is getting in the comments, but decided it was worth the gamble since the deal is good and the style is extremely sexy, in my opinion....

You can make coffee with the Vertuo. It’s also possible to create custom sizes on the other machines. I’m fond of Americano’s, which are about 8oz of water poured over a shot of espresso.

You still could see the item? Why I see "This item is currently unavailable." after click?

I know this says it's dead, and earlier this week when I tried it wouldn't work, but I just ordered it and it's still priced at $124.99. Order confirmation already came through.

Essenza is an originalline machine, so you can use pods from third parties. You aren’t locked into buying from Nespresso like you are with the Vertuo. On the other hand, the Vertuo makes full-sized...

I got this exact machine at the last sale, and the coffee itself was very hot. Any hotter and it would be inconvenient to drink. But if you use a lot of milk in it, the milk itself doesn't get very...

This used to be like $300 so you know something must be wrong with it. They should stick to chocolate.

Their business model is to give the machines away and make money off the pods.

I'm a very long time OL user. I've had so many wonderful OL machines, and am wondering if I should give the VL a try? I always make my drinks w/ice.

I get pods sometimes as cheap as 28-33 cents per pod so it quickly adds up, but we dont use them for normal or larger coffee sizes like that since most of these are meant to be drank in under 5-10...

No way am I ever switching to VL, OL for the cheaper pods no contest. My family goes through a few hundred pods every 3-4 months so no way would i be paying $1+ a pod.

Bought this a month ago and yeah the pods are not cheap. Bought the foil covers, use the old pod capsules and fill them with my own coffee. Use a burr grinder and fill a few at a time. It has worked...

The Pixie is still the best in my opinion. That thing is bulletproof and consistent every time. I'd rather buy a detached milk frother than a new machine to avoid all of these issues I'm hearing about

Plus is definitely hotter than Next. Now, there are also variations in Plus models based on the maker. The one I own is made by Braville and its nicely hot for me. Its not burning hot but just right....

I only purchased a Vertuo because of the deal I got on the machine. I was hoping I’d find promotions or like the coffee enough not to care as much about the cost. While it didn’t blow me away I do...

The Vertuo is a solid platform. It’s a shame Nespresso doesn’t offer better deals on the pods, I can’t justify the cost of multiple pods a day no matter how many times I try to.
Post #137662976 added 06-02-2020 11:09 AM by peanutty in Deal Talk
I heard Vertuo Plus also didn’t make coffee hot enough. Is it hotter than the Next? Temperature seems to be an issue with Nespresso.
