M9 is better as mentioned by the OP, but if you dont have speeds over 500Mbps you wont see much of a difference. The other aspect is if you need a smart home hub, cause the M9 gives you that...

Yes normally you would need hardware that states it supports wireless bridging, or a router that states it supports bridging. Then you have to adjust some settings on the router to fix the DHCP issue.
