Agreed. The benefit of the CRS is to transfer to Hyatt, other things etc, not to use as a 1.5% cash back card.
However right now you get 5% cash back at grocery stores, which goes to 7.5% back...

The formula is the same when redeeming CSR points for travel. Basically ($ amount / 1.5) x 100 = points required. Essentially 33.33% discount. Hope that helps.

I'm cashing out a part of my UR stash at 1.5cpp. Have plenty of points as-is and have ways to generate them relatively quickly. 1.5 CPP is a good redemption value for a small amount of work.
