Once you go to check out with a new line of service with sprint, it drops to zero. It's a combo of TMobile and best buy discounts. The advertised price is just with the best buy discount.

When you add it to cart with Sprint and the $25 Kickstart plan it comes out free for the phone, $25 for the plan, $30 activation. So $55 + whatever taxes.

No, you don't need to return the phone. They don't prorate months so cancel before the first month billing cycle is over, otherwise you will have to pay $25+ taxes and fees for month #2.

This is a great deal, because you buy the unlocked phone for $0. You can then argue the activation fee off and drop the service. You end up with a free phone that you can switch to any carrier.
