Same strips. Sylvania apparently bought the rights. These are the 5 pin so you have to use their connectors. Amazon sells a kit with multiple length connectors from 10' on down for 25 bucks.

Don't have Echo Dot. But if it's the version that supports Zigbee and you can manually select it as RGBW light if it doesn't automatically detect, it should work.
