A guy can hope right? Lol. Well see. Could be they have a lot of 3/8 impacts because people opt for the half inch instead. Idk it might be nothing but it's worth watching. There seems to be a lot of...

If the Ryobi stuff meets your needs, probably not. They make dozens and dozens of tools that fit those batteries, so no real issues with expanding.

I have the Fuel HACKZALL and while I never cut anything that thick, my experience with what I have cut so far is that it should be very capable as long as you keep a light touch on the pressure...

Surge is very nice if you don't already have a M12 impact. Sound noise is cut in half and the action is very smooth. Quality deal on both tools. Hoping the M18 Surge goes on sale for Father's Day.

And doesn't require randomly having to remove the battery and reinsert it so you can change the rotational direction. In other words if I don't care about noise, I should just get my M18 repaired...

It doesn't really work.. the items are sold as a package, and it's all or nothing. Selling on eBay has worked for me. Maybe a bit more hassle than the in store return, but about the same outcome.
