I had boughten both the Dewalt ToughSystem and Milwaukee Packout. I returned Dewalt & kept Milwaukee. Better durability, design, capacity, & interchangeability, which all comes at a higher price, but...

Thanks to everyone that gave reviews on this and the Packout. I guess I'll wait for the ToughSystem 2.0 to come out or the new Packout. I'm just a home DIY, so I don't necessarily need something...

I know it's a failure of Dewalt to not replace the handle (would you want to replace the broken one with another faulty handle?) But can you fabricate a metal side handle or did it break at the box...

Should be able to order the part cheap enough...i'd think?. I have a wall of tstaks probably 30+ They definitely are not strong like the tough system but are cheap. Yellow clips are pretty lame/weak...

HD has the cart only for $69. So, you get the bonuses for an extra $30. Not bad.

Boxes were cheaper before last year, ds130 was $15 and ds300 was $20 The ds400 is cheap made and doesn't have a through axle which makes it hard to steer

Wish I knew someone in the South Bay of Los Angeles (Hermosa/Manhattan/Torrance/Redondo) area to split this with. I don't need/want the roll-y cart, but could stand to have the other parts.... ...

I went to HD to check out the quality. All of the DeWalt "tough systems" were damaged (10+). I ended up getting the Milwaukee one during the last sale. Way more durable!

I'm thinking milwaukee has a lifetime warranty on their boxes. Not sure what it covers and I have used neither system as I'm just a homeowner not in the trades.

The flip out side handles are a stupid design to begin with. They should be molded in to the sides and not flip out. Agreed on the yellow locks, they are a huge pain (literally) to use

They break at the hinge pin area of the mold. It cannot be replaced without swapping the whole box. Thanks though.

I've got a couple of these Dewalt boxes, but prefer the rolling Ridgid set (of 3) I got back around black friday for $80-100. The Ridgid boxes are somehow just more appropriate for my needs. YMMV

I have one set already and I can't say I've abused them but I've lifted and carried them in and out of the truck with the side handles completely full of tools and not had an issue. That being said...

These don't require abuse to break. They are flawed from the factory. The carry handles on the side are a true flaw in design. They are not reliable, and can snap off without exceeding the weight...

I'd strongly recommend against buying Milwaukee Packout boxes right now. The quality is higher but the design is a headache, and there are strong rumors it might be updated soon. The ToughSystem...

The only gripe I have against these is I wish they had drawers instead of lift tops. It sucks unloading everything to get to stuff in the bottom box.

This is a pretty good deal. People complain about the durability of these, but if you're abusing your toolbox, it'll break haha.

I'm using the DeWalt rack system. So I'm fine with it. And yes, the yellow side interlock is NOT easy to use.
