I believe the pro-rated price would be $28.47. But I'm seeing "This item is no longer available online." when I go to checkout, so might be YMMV on getting it in the battery bundle deal.

No I didn't have to ship the old one back. They do ask that you have the battery and the charger with you when you call, so they can test it with you over the phone. They asked for the serial number...
