Careful if you’re trying to pair with Sony DV screens... doesn’t work very well together. Personal experience talking, unless they fixed it with a firmware update.

Yes it does. I have a stand alone LG 4k player as well as X box one x. To me the the player is slightly nicer. It seems to run smoother for some reason and it's a cheap barebones 4k player as well....

Short answer is noticeably better. Netflix has lower bitrates (~15mbps) compared to other streaming 4k (believe movies anywhere and iTunes are more like 20mbps). Whereas a disc can be 50mbps or more....
