Canon keeps changing their stance... last week they were giving 20% off for new full frames and 15% for crop sensors. Either way, it’s better than nothing, especially if you can keep old one with you.

They share the same sensor. The only thing you'll be getting is upgraded AF. Battery life is not as good on the RP and it's not as rugged.

Not at this price point it ain't.
That being said, do note this is the new 24-105mm lens which is a strictly budget kit lens. Id prefer the 24-240mm for this price range.

And don’t be suckered into getting the a6500 or the a6600. The IBIS isn’t that great. The A6400 with the 16-50 OSS lens will get the same results as IBIS with a non OSS lens.
