Of course he is! He doesn't know that QLED is actually based on the older LCD technology!

Not everyone is attaching this tv to a AV receiver. I'm getting this for our main living room where aesthetics are important thus I had to compromise on a high quality soundbar system. Thus I chose a...

Burn is more common in earlier OLED models. Recent OLED models are very good at preventing burn in such as activating automatic screen savers mode of you felt asleep playing your video games! But if...

+Tax -> Roughly $900 more than the Greentoe $3600 deal for C9 ... no way CX is worth the $900 difference

Makes me feel real good about my 77’ C9. Didn’t know that information! Thank you

Love my LG OLED. Watching any other TV hurts my eye. I am spoiled. The best investment we made.

The $440 in giftcards included?
Post #138476570 added 07-02-2020 11:31 AM by Arex in Deal Talk
Sounds annoying, but hardly fatal. Might I suggest the easy fix of just buying a 4K streaming box or dongle for less than $50?

LG came out with an 88" OLED this year. Get it!

Burn in is worse than plasma. a unit at target running a demonstration setting was burnt so badly I thought I was seeing things. A new set blown before it even left the store. If you want to spend 4k...

Agreed! I have my Onkyo along with XBox One X, BD Player inside my media cabinet and my C9 sits on top of it. It’s very clean as everything is behind glass doors. I get a superior home theater...

If you are buying a $4,000.00 TV, you better be RICH! But I am willing to bet that 90% of the people will be purchasing this on their credit card and will take years to pay it off. I don't...

It has a faster GPU and superior black frame insertion as main highlights compared to the C9, and supports AV1 codec. Since it will be asked, it’s only worth buying if the price between the two is...

Big drawback of the new CX compared to C9 is the lack of DTS decoder for audio. Some of the reviews are also saying the C9 is slightly brighter

If you feel the Q is misleading, what would you suggest they use for Quantum dot LED TV? Was the previous SUHD name much clearer information for consumers to understand it is an Quantum dot LED TV?...

How about using the built in tv apps and needing to pass audio to the avr? My understanding is that DTS doesn’t even pass through using arc to send audio to the receiver. That’s the issue. In...

The name OLED is a real term. QLED is a marketing term and the word "Quantum" was chosen by Samsung knowing it would justify the misleading use of the visually similar QLED acronym.
Post #137816492 added 06-08-2020 7:29 AM by KilKarazy in Deal Talk
Sony developed Quantum dot displays as early as 2013. Samsung did not choose the word for the tech. QLED was chosen over QDLED. Source...

You do realize the guy was just trolling. Only a total idiot buys a bleeding edge 8K with crappy QLED screen tech since there won't be 8K content for a long time. And by the time 8K content...

This is the B9 set, not the CX set.

They will say is not misleading because the Q comes from the quantum dot filter it uses to produce more accurate colors

General question about the CX and device compatibility since there seems to be some healthy discussion going on about it here. I plan on upgrading to OLED and a Denon receiver with 2.1...

Your plan will work just fine or yes you could do as this guy suggests. I actually have mine setup like he suggests, all devices going to tv then earc back to avr. I use 48gb cables to make life...

CX has better near black PQ, which to me has been the lone issue with OLED. So between that and the 120Hz BFI, I’m all for the CX

I gotcha. So anything 2.1 could plug into the TV and anything less like the SheildTV could just go to the receiver. I guess my only concern would be watching DVDs and BluRays on the PS5 going...

As far I understand it, if the audio is DTS from the built in tv apps, even passthrough won't work. We'll see once more of these CX sets are out in the public and how people are dealing with the...

Considering that for a 75" picture optimal distance for 4k is 5 feet away and 8k is 2.5 feet away , I'd guess they're trolling. The 4k difference is barely visible typically and 8k not until you get...

If you are buying a $4,000 TV, you shouldn't be worried about the DTS decoder. You should have your receiver handle it all, including pass-through.

Really they went from an all HDMI 2.1 ports board to just one? They were one of the only TV manufactures that at least had 2.1 as a featured option.
