Per CDC: Hand sanitizer should be greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol ​alcohol. This (and most others) are 62% Ethyl (Ethanol).alcohol. This is safe and fits the recommendation.

I have used funky smelling equate hand sanitizer. Smell doesnt go away unless you wash with soap. It bothers me at least for an hour untill i wash with soap & water.
