That's a great price. The 46" has a lot more speaker drivers in it and the rear speakers has upfiring built in.

I did not know the 5.2 didn't have the support that the 7.2 does as that is what I have but if that is the case as it seems like it is then yes I would avoid it too I love my 7.2 setup it blows this...

Is this better then the cheap ones? I got the $200 one a while back and the bass rattles horribly even at low volume. I pretty much had to lower it to non existent so the bar would sound ok.

No. The hardware is essentially all the same. The subwoofer is bigger. Edit: Sorry I was wrong. the sound bar unit also has 8 drivers instead of 5 on the 36 inch.
