Why would you assume LED automatically means bright? You can get low lumen 2700k LEDs which does the job better than incandescent. Best to take your own advice and clue yourself in.

At target All outdoor string lighting was on clearance 50% off. I bought sets similar/better design and selection for $8.50 per box (10 lights) . Confirmed at three other targets in Bay Area.

I just bought similar lights and they cost me $30 for 48ft and came with LED bulbs. I would always go with LED considering the price is pretty much the same and you will save a large amount of money...
