Native 120hz panel this time around (instead of the gimped 120hz panel the previous model had). That said, HDMI 2.1 is going to be increasingly important over the next 5 years. I'd save my money...

Correct. I was basing it off the H9F review, which I expect to be similar to the H9G In any case, saving $150, having a much brighter TCL with Roku (which i enjoy), and mini-LED is probably the...

So does this set have HDMI 2.1 in any of the HDMI ports? LG's OLED lineup has HDMI 2.1, everyone else did not. If not, that maybe the reason why I can hold off. All of these old sets will be dropping...

Yes, technically. But for some crazy reason, the performance was gimped to behave like a 60hz panel so unless they change something in firmware, for all intents and purposes, H9F is 60.

Mine looks good with Xbox running 120hz. Never heard of this issue. Plus you would think Rtings would mention this.

The Sony 900f is a 2018 TV so 2 years old, not 3 or 4. Considering that most brands have downgraded their TV line ups in 2020 I would say it remains a top choice.

thanks for the update, love FOMO show and he really works to be current. I'm not holding my breath for TCL with the supply chain disrupted with "global malware". However I remember getting...

I bought the H9F from Best Buy last BF too. They charged $20 to haul away my old dead TV. Very fair price, honestly.

For the price... this is the shazam! Blacks are good, this is a non reflective screen. You should check out some youtube videos. If you want better... you can wait for the new TCL (it may be...

I get a little lost in the geek speak but TCL was said to deliver some of the HDMI 2.1 features via firmware. Possibly Hisense could do that too.

Should be nice. I have a 55 inch 2019 Hisense model that has a good picture and decent sound but the “smart” Android TV part is woefully underpowered. Had to go wired connection since it has trouble...

Somehow I don't believe you... and I purchased a Samsung in my past where the TV broke... But I don't say don't buy a Samsung. But I feel there is NO VALUE in Samsung.

Is this still a good TV to get even though I’m not much of an Android user? I’m fully submerged in the whole Apple ecosystem with IPhones, IPads, Apple TV, MacBook

Received mine today! Few notes below. No vertical banding at all. To the naked eye it doesn't look any less bright than the Vizio PQX. Motion better than the PX and my 2019 TCL 6 series. ...

One thing that's incorrect there is that this H9G 65" has 180 local dimming zones, not 132 (the 55" does have 132 though).
