Likely licensing cost of USB C is much higher than micro USB. Would make the flashlight more expensive. Even the one ones that use USB C, they are only USB A to C to support charging, not C to C.

USB C is nice. But there's a big difference between the firefly modes, if that matters to you. The A6 is super low 0.2 lumens, while the FC11 is 2.0 lumens.
