I don't know what you mean but "not true." LG definitely takes forever to do OS updates, usually on the order of 6-12 months after Android One phones. The G7 didn't get Android 9 in the United States...

That website is trash, the claim the g8 your referring to is coming out in June 2020 in India. They also have a pic of v30 and claim that it is a v40. Some even mentioned that on their page.
