8gb RAM seriously is fine for most people, even if you do light gaming or multitasking. Seriously. Just don't keep 27 tabs open in Chrome or do video editing and you'll be fine.

From what I can see the Ideapad 3 has more storage and a faster CPU, there appears to be a replaceable ram slot that's occupied by a 4gig. The Ideapad 5 is lighter and has better battery life...

4800H is in different league. I wouldn't recommend buying a laptop with 4800H without dedicated GPU because any workload that requires a lot of CPU threads, will probably benefit much more with GPU...
