Ryzen is crushing Intel right now especially when you consider price. I'm sticking with Ryzen.

I've decided to grab this one since I need a laptop now, might add some ram later if needed. A Crucial DDR4 3200 8GB ram is $38. If not in a rush I'd wait for a Ryzen 5 / i5,16GB, 512 deal.

Apparently it can be upgraded. Unfortunately it's NVME and there's only one slot, meaning you have to replace the drive to upgrade. Sounds pretty expensive to me.

When you select the 512gb drive, you get the option for the 4700u Ryzen 7 for $720. How good of a price is that you think?

I'm aware, I was just pointing out the ethernet on the specs for the Costco model.

I was actually referring to the USB-C port and not the ethernet port.

Costco also shows Gigabit wired network vs Best Buy.

According to the HP specs, the BB one has 10Gbps signaling rate for the USB C and the Costco one is only 5Gbs. How big a deal is this?

I would tend to agree, but the spouse's birthday is Friday and the BB one will be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully the Visa extra year will be enough.

The deal is still up but all things being equal I would go for the costco one with the warranty.

This is in stock near me. Can the SSD be upgraded? Debating returning the Costco deal for this.

This deal is still active - don't know why it's listed as expired?

I noticed the trackpad is also smaller, do you notice it as being too small? Also is it a premium glass trackpad or crappy plastic one? also how are the fans?

By the way this model should have expendable ram but not sure, so that's why a good option IMO

That is an error in the options. It is a 3rd gen Ryzen 5
