These were great games. Pillars of eternity fits the bill for more recent games. I liked Torchlight for PC. I still love the Baldur’s Gate series - there’s a ‘remastered’ version now.

Has anyone figured out how to run the Linux installers? All that's provided is a 100mb .sh file, and I'm guessing that's not a shell script, as it crashed my text editor when I tried to open it.

Yes, I really enjoyed Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2. Still several years old, but much nicer than the Eye of the Beholder series. If you enjoy Eye of the Beholder, you’ll enjoy them.
