No, you can't fit AA and AAA at the same time, even though it has two tiers. For one thing, they just don't fit. for another, there are only 2 charge circuits in there... so doing so would end up...

The batteries are great. I’ve used them for years. You can get a better charger that will soft charge and condition batteries.

Can it fit 4xAAA and 4xAA at the same time? It looks (on pictures) like it has separate lower slots for AAA, so I wonder if you can put 2 sets of batteries in 2 levels. But yeah, if it has only 2...

Just a warning to others, the description here (and at B&H) is wrong. This charger will only charge 2 or 4 cells at a time, not "8" as it claims. Also note, you must have 2 cells at a time with this...
