cant recommend this - it barely cuts a 2x4 in half, due to cutting width - i am a fan of ryobi, have a ton of ryobi stuff, but this product is terrible unless you are cutting small trim or anything...

I'm aware of this. When Ryobi started to switch to their green colors from blue some of their tools were carbon copies of the C3 line. Two that come to mind are the finish nailer and the miter saw.

its a coordless tool. its not meant to serve primary duty. basically a chop saw for 2x4s and trim that can also do some mitered edges.

Why wouldn't you just stick with a corded saw for woodworking at home? The main (only?) advantage of this Ryobi saw is it's portability. And it's quiet (and for me it was cheap).
