I agree with the Daiwa Samurai. I got a couple 3 years ago. I use them for crappie underneath the docks and they work pretty well especially for the price.

Teach the beginner the proper way and it takes 10 seconds. Overhand knot, piece of tape over the knot, then reel in. Literally takes 10 seconds

disposable in salt water. Probably just fine for fishing a dock every now and then in freshwater.
