Yes you can. A bit difficult to do with one hand though you need to press the volume up and down keys at the same time.

Is there there a way to toggle the ANC off when you want better sound fidelity or is it always on? Edit: specifically is there a physical switch or do you have to use the app?

Good sound/mic/NC/battery, but the problem for me is the fit with glasses on. The ear pieces are oversized by design. Since getting the AKG NC60 I have not used my HD450 again.
